To provide a link between the platforms at Gisors station and the town centre, and to ensure accessibility for people with reduced mobility, a footbridge and access via stairs and lifts have been constructed.
The footbridge consists of a single main span with a railway impact-resistant pier, which will also serve as a support for a future additional crossing structure.
Foundations on a massed base and a lightweight semi-Vierendeel steel structure with wooden decking (Accoya type) and handrails incorporating protection for the overhead catenary system.
Supported on architectural concrete piers via pot bearings
