The building, located in the University of Strasbourg’s Science Garden, comprises two volumes: a conical one and a cylindrical one.
The main structure is timber: a solid timber frame and long-span (20 m) glulam beams with a central steel ring, and timber-framed walls.
The stability of the cone is ensured by CLT-type timber panels visible from the interior. The screen is suspended from a hemispherical steel dome.
