Landscaping of the station forecourt to the north, a garden to the south, and development of the access to the adjacent road bridge.
A 135-metre-long footbridge over the railway tracks, with an average width of 4.50 metres, providing access to the platforms via staircases and lifts. Connection to the forecourts via superstructure ramps and landscaped embankments.
The new, wider footbridge is situated alongside an existing footbridge dating from the 1960s and spans a platform with several railway tracks over a length of 135 m.
To minimise disruption to rail traffic during construction, our winning design from the competitive dialogue provides for the new lightweight footbridge to be supported on existing piers. This feasibility has been confirmed by our structural studies based on the design documents and by additional ground investigations.
The removal of the old deck and installation of the new one is planned to take place during off-peak hours following coordination with the SNCF.
The structure consists of a timber deck on a steel framework.
